Description : 

Ciprofloxacin 250 MG Tablet is an antibiotic that is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, gonococcal infection, etc. This medicine is not recommended for use in case of a common cold, flu, or other viral infections since it is active against infections caused by bacteria only. This medicine should be used with caution in the elderly population as it increases the risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture.

Before you start taking ciprofloxacin, read the manufacturer's printed information leaflet from inside the pack. The manufacturer's leaflet will give you more information about the medicine and a full list of the side-effects which you may experience from taking it. 
Take ciprofloxacin exactly as your doctor tells you to. It is usually taken twice daily for a week or so, although some infections can be treated with a single tablet. Read the label carefully to make sure you know what dose is right for you.

Side effect : 

Common ciprofloxacin side effects may include:
- nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain
- vaginal itching or discharge
- headache
- abnormal liver function tests.

Serious effects include signs of tendon rupture, nerve symptoms.

Storage : Store at 20°-25°C (68°-77°F); excursions permitted to 15°-30°C (59°-86°F). Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.

Caution : This drug may make you dizzy. Alcohol or marijuana can make you more dizzy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness until you can do it safely. Limit alcoholic beverages. Talk to your doctor if you are using marijuana.
