Description : 

Tetracycline is used to treat a wide variety of infections, including acne. It is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (e.g., common cold, flu). Unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can lead to its decreased effectiveness. Tetracycline can also be used in combination with anti-ulcer medications to treat certain types of stomach ulcers.

Direction : 

Take tetracycline exactly as it was prescribed for you. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Take tetracycline on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Do not take this medicine with milk or other dairy products, unless your doctor has told you to. Dairy products can make it harder for your body to absorb the medicine.

Each capsule contains : Tetracycline 250 mg

Side effect : 

Common side effects include diarrhea, upset stomach, sore mouth, skin color changes, rectum or vaginal itching, sunburn

Serious side effects : You should contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms such as blurred vision, skin rash, itching, or hives, severe headache, difficulty swallowing or breathing, yellowing of the skin or eyes, etc.

Storage : Store at 20°-25°C (68°-77°F).

Caution : Before taking tetracycline, you should tell your doctor if you have or have ever had allergies, asthma, hay fever, hives, kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes. You should tell your physician that you are taking this medication before having any type of surgery, including dental surgery.
